2023 Annual Emergency Drill of Suzhou Branch

In order to standardize the Company’s emergency management work, enhance employees’ emergency awareness, improve the Company’s emergency response capabilities, and employees’ emergency evacuation abilities, the Security and Quality Control Department of the Company recently organized a comprehensive emergency drill for all employees of Suzhou Branch. The drill included evacuation drills, rescue drills, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) drills, and specialized practical drills for key departments and positions.

I. Comprehensive Emergency Drill (Phase I)

1. Evacuation Drill
A total of 157 people were evacuated in this drill, which took 2 minutes and 9 seconds. All employees were able to evacuate to the designated locations quickly and orderly according to the requirements of the emergency drill plan, meeting the requirements of the evacuation drill.

2. Emergency Rescue Drill

After all employees evacuated to the emergency assembly point, it was found during the headcount conducted by the Design Department that one person was missing. The incident was immediately reported to the overall commander, who issued a rescue order to the emergency rescue team. The rescue team arrived at the scene and successfully rescued the trapped individual.

3. CPR Drill
The medical rescue team introduced the CPR operation procedures and key steps to all employees and conducted a demonstration drill.

4. Summary of the Comprehensive Emergency Drill for All Employees

The director of the Security and Quality Control Department summarized the evacuation situation of this year’s fire drill and emphasized the importance of emergency drills and the emergency response process. It is hoped that all employees can correctly grasp the Company’s emergency response procedures and make the right emergency response in any emergency situation. In addition, a report was given on the popularization of first aid knowledge and the mastery of first aid skills within the Company. Department directors were urged to actively promote and encourage their colleagues to participate in the first aid training organized by the Company.

II. Special Practical Drill (Phase II)

In order to ensure that on-site employees can respond correctly and promptly in case of a fire accident, special practical drill was conducted for security personnel, cleaning staff, kitchen staff, general affairs team, electromechanical team, engineering measurement and application department, as well as newly hired employees. The drills mainly included fire extinguisher usage, fire blanket usage, and fire hose usage.

Mr. Feng, the on-site commander, explained the usage methods of dry powder fire extinguishers and fire blankets, and the on-site employees practiced using them. Through the practical drills, the combination of theory and practice was achieved, enabling each employee to grasp the usage methods of fire extinguishers and fire blankets effectively.

2. Explanation and practical drills for fire hose usage
Mr. Feng, the on-site commander, explained and demonstrated the connection and usage methods of fire hoses. Subsequently, the staff conducted practical drills for connecting fire hoses. After the completion of the drills, the emergency rescue team cooperated to demonstrate the spraying of water using the fire hoses, and all colleagues actively participated in the practical drill segment.



III. Speech by the CEO
Mr. Mao Zhihui, the CEO of the Company, summarized the drill.

In his concluding remarks, he stated, “It is crucial for everyone to grasp the measures and knowledge demonstrated in today’s drill. I hope that we can all be well prepared without having to utilize these skills, but still possess the ability to respond in emergencies. Firstly, it can mitigate disaster losses. Secondly, it can ensure personal safety, which is of paramount importance. Thirdly, to the best of our abilities, it could make every effort to rescue those in need.”

After reiterating these three points, he once again emphasized the significance of this drill. He wished that through this drill, everyone could truly comprehend emergency measures and relevant knowledge, acquire corresponding emergency skills, particularly the skills required for utilizing fire extinguishers. In this way, they can safeguard themselves, their families, and their colleagues, and achieve the objective of personal and property safety.

Although the drill has concluded, fire safety awareness has been imprinted in our hearts. In our future work and daily lives, we aspire for each and every one of us to always remain vigilant about fire prevention and fire safety, promptly report any potential hazards or signs, and address them promptly. By eliminating fire hazards at the earliest stages and curbing the emergence of accidents, we can realize the concept of “everyone advocating safety and everyone capable of emergency response”.
