Suzhou Headquarters Carried Out Emergency Drills

At 10:00am on November 6, 2020, L&K Engineering organized the emergency drill of Suzhou headquarters. With the great attention of corporate leaders and the active participation of all colleagues, this year’s emergency drill was successfully completed.

This year’s emergency drills mainly include the evacuation, emergency rescue and fire protection drills; the use of the filter-type self-rescue respirator, demonstration of the single-person hand-shouldered rescue operation and relay competition of wearing fire protection clothes, etc., have various drill items, which not only improve the emergency evacuation awareness of the employees, but also enhance the emergency response capability of Suzhou Company, and at the same time enrich the safety and cultural life of the employees.
 

I. Evacuation Drill
 

A total of 148 people were evacuated during the drill, which took 1 minute and 50 seconds. All colleagues were able to evacuate to the designated assembly point quickly and orderly according to the Emergency Plan, and reached the goal and requirement of evacuation drill.
 

 

II. Emergency Rescue Drills
 

Suppose there is a fire in the machining area of the factory, the first discoverer cries for help, presses the nearest manual alarm, and arranges personnel to cut off the power supply quickly. The members of the Emergency Rescue Team use fire hoses to extinguish the fire.

After the counting of the personnel of each department, it was found that one person in the service sales office failed to reach the emergency assembly point, and on-field commander immediately arranged for the rescue team to carry out the search and rescue. After 3 minutes, the personnel were rescued from the fire scene, and the vehicle was arranged to be sent to the hospital for emergency disposal.
 

 

III. First Aid Drills
 

The members of the medical rescue team (holding the ambulance certificate) told the operating essentials and precautions of chest compressions on the spot, and gave the dummy a demonstration of chest compressions first aid.
 

 

IV. Filter Type Self-Help Respirator Use and Single Unarmed Shoulder Rescue Drill
 

For the fire escape self-help device, on-field commander will explain the use method and precautions of the filter self-help respirator on the spot, and demonstrate and wear it.

In view of how to save people quickly from the fire, on-field commander introduced the operation essentials of the single-person unarmed rescue exercise, and demonstrated how to carry people back up quickly to rescue the fire.
 

 

 

V. Fire Protection Drills
 

On-field commander introduced the use of dry powder fire extinguishers, and employees of various departments actively participated in fire protection drills. Through practice, the combination of theory and practice is realized, and the use of fire extinguishers may be mastered well.
 

 

VI. Fire Suit Relay Competition
 

The biggest highlight of this drill is the relay competition in fire protection suits. After fierce competition, two colleagues in the Design Department won the first place in this competition with a score of 2 minutes and 36 seconds. The general manager Mao personally presented prizes to the winners of this competition.
 

 

VII. Summary of Exercise
 

Finally, the general manager Mao summarized the emergency drill activities this year, gave affirmation and raised expectations. It fully affirmed the overwhelming role of emergency drills for the Company and its employees, and hoped that new and senior employees would have more opportunities to participate and practice. It was hoped that L&K Engineering could enhance the safety awareness of all employees and comprehensively improve the emergency management capabilities through emergency drills.
